Martes martes is a mammalian species belonging to marten animals . It is a typical representative of its tribe and hence its name. It is found almost all over Europe and in parts of the Middle East , the Caucasus and western Siberia . Now live in all sorts of forests. It has been hunted for its dense winter fur and has also been tried to breed a farmed stock.
