These stamps commemorate the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX, a civil rights law in USA prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sex from any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance. According to the Postal Service, the law’s “most visible impact has been on school athletics.”

The 150th Anniversary (2019) of the Birth of Mahatma Gandhi, India.

Mahatma Gandhi is a great personality of India who still inspires people of the country and also people worldwide. Gandhi dedicated his whole life to the struggle for independence of India from British rule. Gandhi believed in non-violence and the unity of the people. He brought spirituality to Indian politics.

Every year on 2 October, the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi or Mahatma Gandhi is observed with prayer services and tributes across the nation. This year, India will be celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi.

More than 100 countries issued stamps in his honour and Brazil issued a stamp in 2018. Thank you very much Rodrigo for the FDC on Gandhi.
