Postcard from JAPAN.

A cherry blossom is the flower of any of several trees of genus Prunus, particularly the Japanese cherry, Prunus serrulata, which is called sakura. These trees bloom in all parts of Japan  between the months of March and May.In Japan, cherry blossoms symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming en masse, besides being an enduring metaphor for the ephemeral nature of life. "Hanami" is the centuries-old practice of picnicking under a blooming sakura or ume tree.
Thank you Kazumi for the beautiful card with nice write up and odd shaped stamps.
