Classical Weimar,Germany.

Weimar Germany was the name given to the period of German history from 1919 until 1933. It got its name from the fact that the constitution for the post war republic was drawn up at the town of Weimar in South Eastern Germany.
In pictutre - From top to bottom-
The Goethe House is the main house lived in by the poet Goethe whilst in Weimar, though he did live in several others in the town
After Goethe's death, the garden house became a place of pilgrimage of Goethe worship and was opened in 1886 as a memorial site.
Home of the poet and philosopher Friedrich Schiller, with period rooms and exhibits from the era.

The vintage card bearing date as 10/10/1963 has beautiful Weimar cancellation but the stamp does not bear the name of country or denomination. Thank you Edith soooo much for the card and cover full of stamps.
